Find your footing in Ludo

Ludo gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Bring all four tokens home before the other players. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Read the objective before making your first input. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Play with two or four people on the same device. Follow the house rules shown on the board; internet matchmaking is not available.

Take a closer look while playing

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Bring all four tokens home before the other players. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

Work through the instructions

  1. Roll six to leave the yard.
  2. Move an eligible token by the die value; home requires an exact roll.
  3. Capture opponents on non-safe squares.
  4. Six, capture and finishing a token grant another roll; a third consecutive six forfeits that roll.

How to interact with the game

Click or tap a piece and destination; use the turn indicator and legal-move feedback. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Read the example below alongside these instructions.

Put the rules into context

A token two steps from home cannot use a three. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Notice the change in the playing area.

One detail worth checking

Safe squares cannot capture; blockades are not part of this edition. Compare the situation with the worked example. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
